Bliss

I've used the Sale-a-bration Bliss set here with Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry cardstock and 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon.  The centre imaged has been stamped with Platinum Shimmer Paint.  This gives the image a little depth and I've blinged it up with some Basic Rhinestones on the bow and on each of the butterfly wings.

In Sympathy

Never a pleasant task, I feel, however I always think the thoughts and feelings that go in to making a sympathy card always helps to put things into perspective.  I have chosen muted colours from the Elegant Soiree DSP along with Basic Black, Soft Suede and Saraha Sand card stock.  The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and, for the motif, I used the two step Bird punch, finishing off with a pearl for the eye and little 1/8" Taffeta ribbon.

Scallop Border, Scallop Corner

I was asked recently about how easy it would be to use the Scallop Corner and Scallop Border together.  Honestly, I didn't know.  So I ordered myself both punches and I am absolutely delighted with the result.  Admittedly, a bit of practice is needed but a little bit of effort is definitely worth the results!  Cardstock doesn't need to be a certain size either - result!  Here I've used Sunny Garden DSP for the background and stamped on Whisper White with the Cottage Garden stamp set.  Card stock is Daffoldil Delight, finished with 1/8" Taffeta Whisper White ribbon.

I've used just the Scallop Corner punch here.  Colours include Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight.  Ribbon is Certain Celery 3/8" Taffeta with a co-ordinating button and tied off with Linen Thread.

Say it Simply

I want to create a card for a friend with her at the heart of it.  So I put the neutrals to use here but made her initial as vibrant as possible.  Using the punch gave depth and the linen thread finished it off.

Stampin' Away Workshop - Saturday 5 February 2010

What a fun afternoon!  We were using a sweet little stamp set A Flower for All Seasons (Item No 111592 £12.95 p53 Idea Book & Catalogue 2010-2011), along with loads of other stuff for blending techniques:  Blender Pens, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Stampin' Pastels, Stampin' Write Markers and the Color Spritzer Tool finishing off with the Brayer, using the resist technique on glossy card.    We create little notecards and a super box to put store them in and take away.  You can't say funner then that!!  PS Helen's mum surpassed herself with her baking this week: mini cheese scones, ginger and treacle cake, custard creams.......  well, it would have been churlish not to!!

Super Perpetual Folding Card

From the Stampin' Up! Impressions publication February 2011, I've made this super perpetual folding card using:

Stamp Sets: I {Heart} Hearts, Sincere Salutations
Card stock:  Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink, Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie
Punches: Full Heart, Scallop Edge and Eyelet borders and Scallop Square

Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie are fast becoming a favourite combo!  This really is a super card and perfect if you're wanting to make something a wee bit special.

I'll be adding the Heart to Heart punch to my wish list - that would add just that little bit extra to this card.  Now where did I put that list........
