Happy Birthday!

I made this little one for my nephew, who's 12 today!  Happy Birthday, Matt!!  I've used Pennant Parade for the party hats layered over the Square and Large Square punches.  The background I ran through my Big Shot using Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes which is a super exclusive Hostess Set in 2011-12 catalogue.  I've used the Stampin' Write markers to ink up.

Stampin' Write markers are a superb way to inking up your images with multi-colours.  These are available as a set of the all the core colours £89.95 and comes in a super storage case with room for all the current in colours.  In Colours can be purchased separately for £11.75 each or indeed, if you prefer, you can buy them singlely for £2.95 to get your favourites.

I {Heart} Anniversary!

Happy 15th Anniversary to my Dad and stepmum, Morag!

I've used a new technique for me here.  I've stamped a heart image from the I {Heart} Hearts set onto a clear block.  The image doesn't stamp perfectly so I filled it in using my Stampin' Write marker in Rose Red.  The resulting image looks like it's been done in chalk and, I think, gives it a really hand done look!  The sentiment is from Teeny Weeny Wishes and completed with 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in Whisper White topped with Rhinestone jewels.

Simply Scored!

I've been using my Simply Scored diagonal plate here to make the envelope.  I might never need to buy envelopes again.  It's a great gagdet.

For the parcels, I used the large Square and the Lace Ribbon punches.

Simple but effective.

The paper is from the soon-to-end 2012 Summer Mini, Sweet Shop, gorgeous smooth and embossed textures using all 5 of the new 2011-13 in colours.  £11.50 for 12 sheets of double sided 12"x12" papers.  You can find the Summer Mini catalogue here. Remember to place any order with me by 31 August at the very latest.  The new Autumn/Winter mini launches 1 September with the main 2012-13 catalogue on 1 October so watch this space.  Lovely, lovely new products coming your way!

Paris in June!

I've created this with someone very specific in mind.  My daughter and her boyfriend are off to Paris at the end of this month so I've put this together for his birthday.

I've stamped the Eiffel Tower using Stazon Ink onto a window sheet which I have overlaid on  Mocha Morning.  The other images from Artistic Etchings are stamped with Soft Suede.  The sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes.

Happy Birthday, Mitch!

Sunshine Sunday!

Feels good doesn't it?  The sun on your face?  I have a few birthdays coming up soon, so I picked a stamp set from the recently launched Summer Mini and came up with this using Mixed Bunch along with Circle Circus.

I've used Wisteria Wonder from the fabulous 2011-13 In Colours along with Basic Grey.  The textured embossing folder is really sweet and I've finished it off with white Baker's Twine and have taken the sentiment from Teeny Weeny Wishes and punched using the Word Window.

Regional Training Swap!

Here is the swap I'm using for the Stampin' Up! Regional Training today in Edinburgh - the paper is Twitterpated from the much anticipated Summer 2012 mini launching on 1 May along with the greeting from Delightful Dozen.  I've used Adorning Accents with the Big Shot and the Designer Frames embossing folder.

Congratulations!

I made this for a friend who has just secured a promotion at work.  I'm casing this from Sarah-Jane as I just loved this, although not identical, the elements are the same.

The colours are Calypso Coral, Gold and Very Vanilla.  I've used Broadsheet Alphabet - a very underutilised set, I have to admit, but I do love it!

Masculine Monday!

Although I've used this technique before, I've upscaled it and added a tile effect using my new Simply Scored!

This is Sail Away from the a la carte section mounted and inked with Island Indigo and using Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker.

After I tile scored my card base, I've coloured an extra large clear mount block with the Marker and used this to create my background.  I then simply stamped the main image over this.  A great card in 5 minutes.  Simple xx

Simply Stampin ' Sketch Challenge!

My Big Shot has been doing overtime recently!  Here, I've taken inspiration from the Simply Stampin' Challenge #55 Sketch.  Using 2012 In Colours of Lucky Limeade and Pool Party along with Everyday Enchantment from the recently finished SAB event, I've put my embossing folders (Stripes and Perfect Polka Dots) to good use together with Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die.

I've embossed the butterflies with white using an image from the 2012 SAB Fresh Vintage.  The sentiment is from stamp set It's Your Day cut with the Word Window Punch.

Surprise!

This is a super idea for something a little different to a classic gift card.  It's a suprise box!  You can find the video tutorial here.  A great way to use some surplus 12 x 12 papers.  I've used Love Letter from 2010-11 Catalogue along with Riding Hood Red and Basic Black.  The stamp sets used are Broadsheet Alphabet and Artistic Etchings both from the current catalogue

You can add a greeting inside or slip in a voucher or gift card.
The belly band can be personalised as I've done here with an initial

Birthday Friend!

This is a card I made for my friend.  On a background of Baja Breeze cardstock, I stamped an image from Charming (Spring 2012 Mini) and sentiment from Teeny Weeny Wishes (2011-12 Catalogue).  It's embellished with scallop ribbon and linen thread, along with Tag and Itty Bitty punches.  The paper is Everyday Enchantment from the recently finished Sale-a-bration.

Summer Mini Sneak Peak! #3

I took inspiration from Simply Stampin' Challenge this week and inked images from the Charming stamp set (a recurring theme at the moment!) in the Spring Mini.  The ink effects are made using Stampin' Write Markers - a really great investment.  I'm using these more and more on my stamped images.  The punches I used were: Punch Blossom from the upcoming Summer Mini which I snipped and glued to create a 3D effect, along with the Scallop Circle and Small Heart.

These challenge blogs are a great way to get those creative juices flowing.  I've set myself a task to use these at least once a week!!
