Love Letters Scrapbook Page

Gosh I really can't remember the last time I made a scrapbook page.  I hadn't realised just how much I missed it.  This page has been cased from this talented lady, Heather Klump.
When I saw Heather's page, I immediately thought of my daughter, Grace, and her friend, Mitch.  Until last week, their friendship had been conducted half way around the world, purely via Skpe!

I thought the postcard stamp from Winter Post was just perfect to reflect the distance involved.  The sentiment is from Occasional Quotes (Level 3 Hostess)
Mitch made a whistle stop tour of the northern hemisphere with visits in the USA before landing in Bonnie Scotland for a week.

When I get the photo (and I'm reliably informed I will!)  it shows the two of them at the top of the Wallace Monument in Stirling.

A return visit is already planned!  Young love - it really can't be beaten xx
And here they are!!

SU-Only Challenge 24

For this "Get Well" challenge, I decided to use Clearly for You from the Mini Catalogue to create a patchwork effect.

The set lends itself beautifully to this because of its delicate images.  The background stamp is so intricate.

I decided to go (almost) monotone with this one simply because of the number of images used.  Crumb Cake gives a subtlety to the images and I've used Soft Suede for the background stamp.

I used the Spritz tool with Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker to give a slightly smudged appearance.  The patchwork squares were punched out with the 13/8" square.
Finally, using Fun Flowers Bigz L die for the Big Shot, I create the embellishment with Crumb Cake DSP.  The bone folder is perfect for turning up the petals.  The sentiment comes from Sincere Saluations.

Stamp Set:  Clearly for You (Mini p22 £17.94/£22.95)
Punch: 13/8" Square (IBC p106 £15.50)
Die: Big Shot (Mini p6 £87.95) & Fun Flowers (Mini p7 £28.95)

Artistic Etchings!

I'm starting to build up my samples for the Sincerely Yours Craft Show in Edinburgh on Saturday 30 April.  I thought the best idea would be to use all the stamp sets I have and design and produce a card front.  What better place to start than with 'A'.  A is for Artistic Etchings!!

This has simply been stamped in Early Espresso and River Rock on Very Vanilla card.  I've used a Sponge Dauber with River Rock to give the edges of the card and the flower embellishment an aged look.

Putting my new Big Shot to good use, I used the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die with Love Letter DSP.  I used my River Rock Stampin' Write Marker to shade just a little of the En Francais background stamp.

This is Baroque Motifs.  I bought this one as my Sale-a-Bration reward!  I've used Wild Wasabi and Marina Mist with Rhinestones for flower centres.  Added a little Whisper White 5/8" organza ribbon.  Great little 2 minute card when you're in a hurry!

From the new Mini Catalogue, this is Clearly for You.  Monotone in Bravo Burgandy.  It's a little difficult to see, but I've used the Spritzer Tool on the images.  I'm liking my Fun Flowers for the Big Shot.  Here it is again and I've added a little contrast in the button in More Mustard.
